What happens at the end of Rebel Moon Part 1?
In the end, Kora and her recruited warriors fight the Imperium Dreadnought and defeat Admiral Atticus Noble on Gondival.
In the final act of A Child of Fire, Kai brings Kora and the recruited crew to the unregistered trade depot, Gondival. Pretending to sell off some cargo, he actually double-crosses Kora and takes her whole group captive to collect the bounty on their heads from Admiral Noble.
When the latter arrives, Kai orders Gunnar to kill Kora. But instead of killing the woman he loves, he pulls an evasive maneuver to kill Kai and free Kora. She then improvises an attack against the Imperium forces by freeing General Titus, Tarak, Nemesis, and Darrian Bloodaxe.
Fortunately for the rebels, they manage to take down the Dreadnought, The King’s Gaze, thanks to Darrian’s epic sacrifice play. Following that, Kora bests Noble in combat and finishes him by using his own cane against him. Then she heads back to Veldt along with General Titus, Tarak, Nemesis, Gunnar, and Milius where Jimmy (JC-1435) has turned into the new leader at their farm.
However, the Imperium crews retrieve Admiral Noble’s body to extract the knowledge of his findings. His conscience is extracted and transferred to a frozen lake astral plane where he speaks to the Imperium Regent Balisarius. He reveals that Balisarius’ adopted daughter Arthelais/Scargiver (Kora) was found and asks for a chance to take her down.
Then right before resurrecting him, the Regent commands him to wipe out the rebels on Veldt and bring his daughter back to him alive.
Who dies in Rebel Moon Part 1?
Among the good guys, Sindri dies in the beginning while Darrian Bloodaxe and his volunteers die fighting the Dreadnought. As for the bad guys, several Imperium soldiers are taken down along with Kai.
Farm leader Sindri was killed off by Admiral Noble for lying to the Imperium. Following that, we saw the demise of Jena Malone’s Alien Spider Harmada at the hands of Nemesis. Several innocents died during the flashback sequences showcasing the Imperium’s attacks on multiple planets.
Then Admiral Noble killed off King Levitica and launched an attack on his planet for harboring the Bloodaxe revolutionaries. But during the final battle of the film, Darrian Bloodaxe died while killing the pilot of The King’s Gaze. In turn, he took down the entire ship along with all other Imperium soldiers.
What’s next for Kora and Veldt in Rebel Moon Part 2?
Rebel Moon Part 2’s teaser reveals that Kora and the others would train the farmers on Veldt to prepare for the incoming attack from Imperium armies.
The teaser for Rebel Moon: The Scargiver revealed that along with the incoming battle of Veldt, we’ll get a few more flashback sequences. One of those will reveal the past of General Titus while the other will reveal why Kora is called the Scargiver.
