12th Fail ending: Does Manoj Sharma crack UPSC exam?

The storyline of the 12th Fail movie unfolds in a small rural area, where the education system lacks proper implementation. The annual 12th-grade exams are typically passed through cheating. The teachers and the entire school management also actively participate in the process of cheating.

In the year Manoj Sharma entered the 12th exam, a senior police officer raided the school, putting an end to the prevalent cheating, resulting in almost every student failing the exam. This crackdown was a consequence of the police officer exposing the cheating practices in the school.

Subsequently, Manoj, along with his friend and brother, attempts to operate a transport service in their local area. However, their efforts are thwarted by the political superior of the region. This interference occurs because the bus, under the direction of the political chief, diverts passengers to Manoj’s transport service.

This resulted in a physical assault from the police officers. However, the Senior Inspector eventually defused the situation. This motivates Manoj to clear his 12th exam without resorting to cheating, based on the advice from the senior inspector.

The 12th fail movie then chronicles Manoj’s journey as he leaves his village to pursue his dream of achieving a rank similar to the police officer who inspired him. Before this, the father of Manoj had already left the village to fight against the other ill practices done in the village by the political powers.

After reaching the city and towns and upon discovering the UPSC exam, Manoj sets his sights on cracking it.

During his journey, he meets Shraddha Joshi, who shares the same goal. One of the significant challenges Manoj encounters is the barrier of the English language. Despite multiple unsuccessful attempts, he eventually cleared the exam. However, during the interview, Manoj faced some critical questions especially after he exposed the whole education system of his village.

Even after all the obstacles, he realized his dream by cracking the final stage also and becoming an IPS officer. Simultaneously, Shraddha also successfully cracks the exam, becoming an IRS officer.

As soon as he learns that he has finally achieved his dreams, Manoj calls his parents and shares the news. This results in nothing but emotional happiness for the entire family.

After accomplishing their dreams, Manoj and Shraddha get married. Additionally, he pays a visit to the police officer who had motivated him earlier. The post-credits scenes of the 12th Fail movie showed the real pictures of the couple.
