More than a decade after the previous Riddick, fans still want to know if Riddick 4: Furya is happening with Vin Diesel returning for it. So, here’s all that’s known about the possibility of the Fast and Furious star returning as Richard B. Riddick in another outing.
Is Vin Diesel coming back as Riddick in Furya?
Vin Diesel is confirmed to return for Riddick when the next sequel, Furya happens.
As per reliable scooper Daniel RPK’s Paetron, Riddick 4: Furya is set to begin production in 2024, and has a rumored budget of $70 million. But nothing is officially confirmed at the moment.
Since 2013’s Riddick, Vin Diesel has shared several updates about his next Riddick outing subtitled “Furya” over the years. The last update for the sequel came out in May 2023 when Diesel shared a concept for Riddick 4 on Instagram.
Before that in February 2023, it was confirmed that Vin Diesel and director David Twohy had officially reunited for Riddick 4: Furya. Twohy will also be writing the script. Meanwhile, Diesel isn’t just returning as the lead, but will also produce the film under his One Race Films banner.
As per the storyline revealed for Furya, Riddick “finally returns to his homeworld, a place he barely remembers and one he fears might be left in ruins by the Necromongers. But there he finds other Furyans fighting for their existence against a new enemy. And some of these Furyans are more like Riddick than he could have ever imagined.”
Not many Riddick 4 updates have arrived in recent times. However, we expect to get more concrete information on the film in 2024. If Daniel RPK’s scoop is true, then we might even find out about the film’s potential release date.
