The anime is an adaptation of the light novel series My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered, No One in This Other World Stands a Chance Against Me!, written by Tsuyoshi Fujitaka and illustrated by Chisato Naruse. Fujitaka originally published the story as a web novel series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website. The isekai fantasy adventure anime TV show revolves around Yogiri Takatou, a seemingly ordinary boy transported to another world along with others in his school bus by Sage Sion. Soon, Yogiri and the rest realize how horrible their new circumstances are as Sion kills all the adults and leaves behind the students who don’t demonstrate any special abilities. Yogiri teams up with Tomochika Dannoura, another student who has been left behind, in his quest to survive. However, what Sion doesn’t know is that in his world, Yogiri was experimented upon by the government and has the power to kill anyone at will.
