Ahead of its U.S. theatrical release, a brand new Spy x Family Code: White teaser trailer for Wit Studio’s film adaptation of the hit anime series has been released. The film is premiering in theaters in Japan.
The brief teaser provides a glimpse of Loid and Yor having a romantic moment in what seems to be a Ferris wheel ride. It also continues to highlight the Forger family’s chaotic winter getaway. This comes after the anime series’ second season had just wrapped up its 12-episode run.
What is Spy x Family Code: White?
“He’s a spy. She’s an assassin. Together, Loid and Yor keep their double lives to themselves while pretending to be the perfect family. However, their adopted daughter Anya, a telepath, knows both of their exciting secrets unbeknownst to them,” reads the synopsis for Spy x Family Code: White. “While under the guise of taking his family on a weekend winter getaway, Loid’s attempt to make progress on his current mission Operation Strix proves difficult when Anya mistakenly gets involved and triggers events that threaten world peace!”
Spy x Family is based on the manga written by Tatsuya Endo, which is currently one of the best-selling manga series with at least 29 million copies in circulation since December 2022. It centers around a unique fake family consisting of spy Loid Forger, assassin Yor Briar, and telepath Anya Forger.
The anime adaptation hails from Wit Studio and CloverWorks. Written by Kazuhiro Furuhashi, Season 1 ran on-air for 25 episodes from April 2022 to December 2022. It is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
